David Moyes questions why Arsenal players haven't been punished yet after seeing what they did

 Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and Everton manager David Moyes share a fantastic relationship.

The Spaniard played under the Scot at Goodison Park back in the day, and they still speak very highly about each other.

However, Moyes has now admitted that Arteta may start ‘questioning’ him after the Toffees boss asked reporters why several Arsenal players weren’t punished for their actions recently.

David Moyes has been in the news a lot recently.

The Scot has been doing a fantastic job at Everton, who are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games.

One of the fixtures in that run was against Brighton and Hove Albion. Everton were losing that game, but a stoppage-time equaliser from Beto rescued a point.

Moyes celebrated the goal by running onto the pitch. He was shown a yellow card for that, which led to a touchline ban for the Toffees’ game against Fulham on Saturday.

The 62-year-old did not enjoy sitting in the stands, and he used Arsenal as an example to explain why he did not deserve to get punished.

He said, as relayed on Beanyman Sports: “It’s pretty sad that you’re going to get that (ban) for showing emotion that you like. But no doubt, I broke the rules. No doubt. I ran on the pitch.

“But just check how many people from the Arsenal bench ran on the pitch when they scored the goal the other night.

“Mikel will maybe be questioning me, but do you know how many people out of the bench of Arsenal ran on the pitch? And were they booked for celebrating?”

Moyes was referring to Kai Havertz’s goal in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea. Almost all the players on the bench ran over to the other side of the pitch to celebrate with the German.

Did Arsenal players deserve punishment like David Moyes?

Moyes is not wrong to question why Arsenal players escaped punishment when he didn’t for doing almost the exact same thing.

After the referee booked the Everton boss, it would’ve made sense to show yellow cards to those on the Gunners’ bench too, but in reality, neither deserved it.

Football is a game of emotions, and if players and managers are not allowed to celebrate a last-minute goal, what’s even the point?

The referees, PGMOL and even the FA need to take a long, hard look at themselves. The fact that celebrating outside the technical area and diving both have the same punishment is absurd.

We are sure every football fan on the planet will be happy if that rule is removed.
